AGENCY INFORMATION: The Natural Resources Service Center is responsible for program accounting, cash management and revenue/expenditure control for state agencies that support and guide Maine’s natural resource-based economy. These agencies keep our state parks and public lands pristine, prevent and stop forest fires, map the ocean floor, protect the food we eat, enforce fishery, wildlife and environmental laws, register snowmobiles and enhance your enjoyment of the Maine outdoors from Baxter State Park in the north woods to the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray.

 

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Financial Programs Manager, you will be part of the leadership team at the Natural Resources Service Center responsible for providing oversight of the accounting, revenue and reporting sections of the service center. You will be charged with establishing and maintaining fiscal procedures utilized throughout the agencies served by the Natural Resources Service Center. You will also provide leadership and management of accounting and reporting services. You will develop strategic goals for areas of oversight and work closely with functional areas to ensure that they are aligned and working towards these goals. 

 

While the position work location is in Augusta, there may be opportunity for occasional remote work within a structured work plan.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 6 years combination of related post-secondary education, and management work experience. Management experience within a finance-related field preferred, but not required. Related training, internship experience etc. may be credited as related experience on a month-per-month basis.
