Job Overview:
Riverview Psychiatric Center is seeking an Accounting Associate I to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Business Offices. Duties include conducting efficient and timely assistance with invoice processing, filing, scanning, and creating delivery orders and purchase orders. This position assists with complex office and administrative accounting support services to ensure compliance with applicable procedures, policies, and federal requirements.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Prepare, review, and process invoices for payment.
- Establish computerized and/or manual filing systems.
- Perform filing, scanning, and organizing of documentation.
- Create Delivery Orders and Purchase Orders.
- Utilize Excel, Word, and other software to complete tasks.
- Resolve bookkeeping problems.
- Perform reconciliation tasks and ensure cash transactions are accurate, safe guarded, and timely.
- Correspond with the public to receive/supply information and/or adjust complaints.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices necessary to perform complex work in maintaining specialized accounting and financial records, and 2) the ability to use independent judgment in handling exceptions to established work assignments, priorities, and schedules.
