Job Overview:

This position is to direct and plan all phases of religious activities at Riverview Psychiatric Center.  The Chaplain's role is to recognize and address the spiritual needs of our patients,  providing them moral and spiritual guidance.  Activities are conducted with considerable independence.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Be fully ordained as a minister, priest, or rabbi, and/or have recognition as a clergy person by a national ecclesiastical body or it's regional subdivision.  Have ecclesiastical endorsement by their denomination, with a minimum of three (3) years pastoral experience, plus one (1) year and three (3) months of clinical pastoral training in an institutional accredited for this type of training - OR - six (6) months of clinical pastoral training and a doctoral level degree in pastoral counseling; a Bachelors Degree and graduation from an accredited seminary.

Riverview Psychiatric Center, in collaboration with the community, is a center for best practice, treatment, education and research, for individuals with serious, persistent mental illness, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
